Boston Emerges as Video Gaming Hub
Alex Rigopulos and his crew at Harmonix Music Systems Inc. in Cambridge are getting ready to rock the gaming industry again. GlobeLiving/Arts, the company's Guitar Hero was the surprise hit of 2005; its various versions have sold 4.6 million copies. MTV Networks, part of the Viacom Inc. media conglomerate, paid $175 million last year to acquire Harmonix. And the company’s follow-up title Rock Band, set for release in November, won best of show honors at last month’s E3 video game trade show in Santa Monica. Full Story->
